How To Stop Overthinking ?
Introduction
Overthinking is a mental state where we're constantly thinking, imagining situations & scenarios which in reality do not exist. We may even dwell on what happened in the past and what could've been done differently, and often blaming others, like that one person who wronged us, fueling our negative thoughts. Overthinking leads to mental state of worrying, stress, etc - causing us to lose touch with reality. Overthinking can have a considerable impact on our daily lives, affecting our daily lives in countless ways. From the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed, overthinking dominates our minds, emotions, and actions. Moreover, it even invades our sleep, causing restless nights and tired mornings. It can sabotage our relationships, Limit our productivity, and affect our physical health as well.
What is overthinking?
Overthinking: a mental labyrinth emerging from past experiences, traumas, and fears. Whatever we think exists solely in our minds, without actual existence. Our minds are flooded with 'what ifs' and 'maybes', sparking unnecessary anxiety and stealing us away from the present moment. Similarly, dwelling on past memories and regrets can be just as debilitating, preventing us from moving forward. As we become lost in our thoughts, anxiety and stress emerge as unwelcome companions. If we don't control it, it can lead to depression and affect our lives. We usually don't recognize the signs, and it becomes a habit that's challenging to break.
Triggers of Overthinking
The most common Triggers Of Overthinking is Fear. We fear something and start overthinking by flooding our brain with "what if this happens" or "what if it doesn't work out" and much more . You Need To Sit With Yourself and talk to yourself and find out what's actually cause of the fear. Once you find out the source of your fear, you'll be able to deal with it better. Sometimes overthinking can also be triggered by external factors, such as a similar experience from the past repeating itself, leading you to revisit those thoughts, or someone taunting you and pulling you back to past memories. Now, Question yourself "Is this thing so important for me? That I'll waste my whole precious life for this." And the truth hits you... NO, it does not hold that much importance in your life. This simple realization helps you prioritize what truly matters and let go of unnecessary worries. Now that you've identified your priorities, it's essential to focus on what's truly important. Avoid getting bogged down by unnecessary thoughts and worries. Whenever thoughts pops up in your head try not to focus on them or attempt to solve them immediately instead try to Ignore It. Perhaps you'll encounter obstacles and make mistakes along the way. However, it's essential to forgive yourself and keep trying!
Letting Go of the Past
What's happened has happened, you cannot go back and change it. Move on! Don't give any person, any situation that much power to affect your life that much. Your past experiences made you more stronger. "Carry lessons from past experiences not negative energy and thoughts in your present." Those People, Those Situations Are Not Worthy Of Your Energy. Those people are living their best life, stop ruining yours. It's important to let go of past, forgive yourself and others and move on.
Embracing the Future with Confidence
• Whatever you're thinking only exists in your head. It doesn't exist in reality, so there's no point in dwelling on it.
• If it did exist, would thinking help you in any way? Could you erase that or make facing the situation easier? No.
Instead thinking makes it hard to face by thoughts of worrying and stress.
Say it out loud "if it happens, I'll face it with confidence get new experience learn from it and get more stronger no matter how hard it is for me"
Your thoughts does not exist in reality. And even if they did, worrying wouldn't help. So, stop overthinking, and focus on the present moment.
Conclusion:
It's time to reclaim your life. Stop overthinking, and cease wasting your precious time and energy. Your life is invaluable, and it's essential to recognize that people, their actions, and certain situations can drain your vitality.
Remember that "the fear of something is often more daunting than the reality itself."
Say This Everyday:
• "I Call Back All My energy and power from people, places and situations who have been stealing it with or without my permission."
• "I Give back all the energy and power I've received from the universe which is not mine to carry."
Say this to let go of past:
"I forgive everyone who wronged me, hurt me, or affected me in any way. I also forgive myself for any mistakes I've made, and I promise not to repeat them."
May you heal, grow, and thrive! God Blesses You.
